The Swieqi Chess Club has committed to organise an annual Charity event every Easter period. This year's tournament was a big success and the Swieqi Chess Club raised a total of 800 euro. Half of this amount was given to Step Up For Parkinson's Voluntary Organisation and the other half to The Malta Dementia Society.
This amount was only raised due to the kind generosity of all the players who took part and those players that were not able to but still gave a generous donation. So thank you for all those who gave up their time and donated to these two worth while causes, that effect the lives of so many people in Malta.
